Marty Quote of the Day - The call to the ministry of reconciliation is the foundation for our divine assignments of Intercession.

We Each Have Been Given a Ministry of Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 - NKJV -
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (Salvation, new birth)

18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled (Brought us back, make peace between himself and us, restored our relationship, changed us) us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,

19 that is, that God was in Christ (through what Christ did) reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them (no longer counting people’s sins against them), and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. (1 Peter 4:8 - And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.)
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (THE SIN PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED - SO BE RECONCILED TO GOD!!)

The call to the ministry of reconciliation is the foundation for our divine assignments of Intercession.

INTERCESSION
The word “intercede” means to act between two parties with the thought of reconciling the two of them.

The concept and literal application or role of intercession is that you take the place of the one that needs to be reconciled back unto God and plead their case for them, standing in for them.

1 Timothy 2:1 - NKJV - 1Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Ezekiel 22:30 - 30“I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land (PEOPLE). I searched for someone to stand in the gap (stand in on behalf of another) in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

The sin problem is no longer a problem

Hebrews 4:15 - NKJV - 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses (Jesus can sympathize with our weaknesses), but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. (the sin problem had to be taken care of) 16 Let us, therefore, come boldly (BOLDLY because sin has been taken care of - Sin no longer keeps us from God) to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (For ourselves and for others - this is where the ministry of reconciliation can be birthed for others)

In other words, as you learn to access the throne of Grace with boldness because you have developed the necessary function of denying sin-consciousness in your own personal life - you are then able to turn that access to the Father into fulfilling the ministry of reconciling on behalf of others.

LET US PLEAD TOGETHER
Isaiah 43:25-26 - NKJV - 25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
God doesn't remember that you have done nothing wrong
If you come to God without sin-consciousness, then you can come in faith and boldness to get your prayers answered

2 Corinthians 5:20-21 - NKJV - 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (THE SIN PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED - SO BE RECONCILED TO GOD!!)
Our message unto the world is - THE SIN PROBLEM HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF!
