Vladimir Putin's speech at Moscow Victory Day Parade 2023 (ENG Subs)

9 May 23 President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, says civilization is at a “decisive turning point” and that “real war has been unleashed” against his country, as he presides over Victory Day celebrations in Moscow.

Russia celebrated on Tuesday the anniversary of victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two with a parade in Red Square amid tight security measures. The leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, were in attendance at the celebration.

Victory Day is one of the most important public holidays in Russia, when people commemorate the huge sacrifices made by the Soviet Union during what is called the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45, in which around 27 million citizens perished.
