2008 Kia Sedona. Friend asked me to replace the blower motor resistor. He told me, it is working but not blowing much air from the vents and there is a noise, maybe a different problem?
When I was there he showed me what it was doing. Confirmed that not much air coming out from the vents and there was noise in the glove box area. I decided to check the cabin air filter first before I replace the resistor.
I found that the filter was collapsed on the blower motor fins. I think it was installed incorrectly. Jiffy Lube replaced the filter. So I removed it and BA-BAM!! The noise was gone and air from vents was blowing hard.
