2003 2004 Ford Expedition

Friend called to see if I can figure out the DTC codes on his 2004 Ford Expedition. Car was stalling, no power while driving and the thermostat gauge always creeping to high(hot). This was in November so it did not overheat quickly.

P0171: lean condition, that means engine is getting real hot. there must be a leak, so I looked around engine bay and asked if he saw any fluid on the ground after he was driving. I saw dried up coolant on the #3 ignition coil.

P0303: Ignition misfire on #3 cylinder. Told my friend, to replace the the coil and it fixed the misfire problem. We replaced the spark plugs about a year ago so replacing the plug was not done.
