1997 Camry. Replacing the leaking fuel pulsation damper.
PART# 23207-20011

Friend said while driving inside the car smells like gas. Also after driving when exiting the car.
I immediately advised her to not drive the car anymore until I take a look at it.

Couple days later I inspected in the engine area where fuel could be leaking. Such as fuel line, fuel rail and injectors.
I saw raw fuel dripping out of the pulsation fuel damper.
To verify it was the damper, I removed the plastic cap and the screw in the middle of it. It was confirmed it was leaking, it has a worn cracked diaphragm. You can spot the screw and cap on the engine.

NOTE: I did not relieve the fuel pressure because it was sitting, so it was leaking quite a while.

If you want to relieve the fuel pressure, all you need to do is turn your car on and go to the engine fuse box and remove the EFI 15A FUSE.
Your car will immediately shut off. And you can start removing it.
