Replacing the front struts on a 2002 Ford Escape.

My friend bought the struts before I checked if there was anything wrong with it.
An independent shop recommended to have it replaced. Before I replace a part. I actually check and test drive the car to see if there is anything wrong with it.
To my surprise there was no leaks on the strut and any kind of noise to tell me the strut is bad.
I advised him that the struts were still good and I would not replace them. My friend insisted to me to have it replaced since it never has been changed. So I said OK and as long you know that I do not see anything wrong with it.

After the repair, I recommend him to do an alignment at a shop.
