SpaceX Starship Launch Update [ Plus Lunar Starship ]

Everyone is baffled by Elon Musk's cryptic statement suggesting that the SpaceX Starship will launch next week, as SpaceX and the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) appear to have different plans in mind. Notwithstanding Musk's enthusiasm, FAA records indicate an April 17 launch date with backup dates from April 18 to April 21; all of these dates have an 8 to 11:05 a.m. Eastern time frame. This goes against earlier predictions of a launch between April 6 and 12 that were made in reliance on a marine warning notice and an earlier FAA planning document. The final launch date is dependent on both Starship's technical preparedness and the FAA's yet-to-be-granted approval. Musk's optimism may spread, but it's also crucial to keep in mind that "regulatory approval" is still necessary for launch.
