Morning Reads- Walk in the Light- Peter is Restored- Forever Virgin Mary The Mother of God

Greek word of the day - εὐσέβεια eusébeia, yoo-seb'-i-ah; from G2152; piety; specially, the gospel scheme:—godliness, holiness.

1 Timothy 6:3-5

3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the [a]doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 [b]useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. [c]From such withdraw yourself.

1 John 1-2:2- Introduction: The Incarnation- Walk in the Ligh and Keep God's commandments of love

The Greek word for "fellowship" (Greek "koinonia")- is more than fellowship. It is our personal participation with other believers in the life of Christ. Our fellowship is also a personal relationship with our Creator seeking Him in all things we do learning to live His Will, and His purpose through the process of deification, spiritual maturity.

John 21:15-25- Jesus Restores and Commissions Peter

Christ is singing out Simon Peter, but showing us the significance in why our Lord did this. (1):Peter was the leader among the disciples, and Peter had to be first to confess his love for the Risen Lord. (2): Peter had also denied Christ three times ( John 18:17, and vv. 25-27), and so Christ restores Peter with a threefold confession of love.

"Let the Bible teach and preach itself!"

John 19:25-28- Care for Mary

Jesus places the care of Mary with the Apostle John which proves Mary had no other children and She is indeed the forever Virgin.

Ezekiel 44:1-4

The East Gate and the Prince

44 Then He brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary which faces toward the east, but it was shut. 2 And the Lord said to me, “This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter by it, because the Lord God of Israel has entered by it; therefore it shall be shut. 3 As for the prince, because he is the prince, he may sit in it to eat bread before the Lord; he shall enter by way of the vestibule of the gateway, and go out the same way.” 4 Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the [a]temple; so I looked, and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord; and I fell on my face.

The Eastern outer gate is seen by the Fathers (Apostles) as the womb of Mary the Virgin, which was SHUT because THE LORD ENTERED BY IT. With the Lord God had entered through it, the Church teaches this is describing the ever virginity of Mary the Mother of God. The Orthodox Church stands firm in the Apostolic doctrine to this day.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
