VENUES, Incredible German Metal Band With Both Male and Female Vocalists - Artist Spotlight

Brian is here to shine the spotlight on a fantastic metal band from Germany called Venues! Beginning in 2018, @VENUESofficial has to date released two studio albums with Arising Empire, the latest being 2021's "Solace". With a unique pairing of both male and female lead vocalists, and a sound that is similar to Amaranthe and Stitched Up Heart, Venues is destined for greatness!

Led by vocalists Lela Gruber and Robin Baumann, Venues is also comprised of Toni Lixx, Dennis Vanhofen, Florian Brett and Konstantinos Kouparanis. Among the phenomenal songs Venues has given us are "Deceptive Faces", "Rite of Passage", "We Are One", and Brian's favorite "Fading Away".

VENUES is a post-hardcore band from Stuttgart, formed in 2015.

VENUES was founded in 2015 under the name Break Down a Venue in Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Württemberg . The band consists of singer Daniela 'Lela' Gruber, shouter Robin Baumann, the two guitarists Constantin and Valentin, as well as bassist Florian and drummer Dennis. In July 2015, Break Down a Venue, the EP titled after the band, was released with three tracks, which was self-financed. In February 2017, the musicians announced that the band would change its name to VENUEShave changed. National concerts have also been announced with groups such as Walking Dead on Broadway, Unleash the Sky and Breathe Atlantis . On April 20, 2018, it was announced that Arising Empire had signed the band. The band's label debut , Aspire , was released on July 27, 2018 and was voted Album of the Week at Kerrang!, UK.

On January 31, 2019, singer Nyves (real name Chrisi Krithinidou), announced in a statement on the band's social media channels that she was leaving the band with immediate effect to pursue other projects. As a result, the band canceled their February and March 2019 tours with Our Mirage and Die Heart due to a search for a second singer. Nyves' successor, Daniela 'Lela' Gruber, was officially unveiled on social media platforms on March 4. Initially it was said that she was joining the band on an interim basis, but was confirmed as a full member of the band on April 17 on Facebook. On October 12, 2019, the band announced they were back to writing new songs.
