Demonstrators gathered to demand action on a proposed gun-control measure in the Texas House of Representatives on Monday morning, two days after a mass shooting at an outlet mall in Allen killed eight people. The bill – which would raise the legal age to buy certain semi-automatic rifles from 18 years old to 21 years old – passed with a vote of 8-5. It will be scheduled for a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives next. Families of Uvalde shooting victims were present at the protest, according to reports.
