Most of us want to be financially successful, but what does that even mean? In Episode 19 of the HopeFilled Financial Podcast Jay shares 4 success stories from an article published by Mint (see link below). Today's episode covers how everyday people are winning with money even when times are tough! Please let us know in the comments which story inspired you the most! What does 'financial success' look like to you?

Today's story is about Jay and his wife's first three budget meetings that did NOT go well and the hope that exists on the other side of that practice. It takes at least three months of grace to let a budget start to work for you. There is hope on the other side of learning new healthy money habits. The hardest part of the journey is the first step. How did your first budget meetings go? How are they going now?

If you are a perfectionist, today's listener question is for you! Budgeting is not a one-and-done perfect practice. A budget is a living document. Don't let perfectionism come between you and your budget. Budgeting helps us become the most frugal versions of ourselves. There is a greater good that can come out of budgeting even when it isn't ever quite perfect. The greater good for you and your money is why budgeting is worth it - even though it isn't always perfect. In what ways can perfectionism come between you and a good practice?
