While Americans battle the government-media censorship complex at home, the news for liberty is worse in Ireland, Gript.ie reporter Ben Scallan brings us up to speed on an effort to pass a broad hate-speech suppression bill, one that essentially allows any kind of dissent on hot-button issues to be criminalized. Despite the clear public backlash to this proposal, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar intends to press forward -- and if he does, the situation in Éirinn looks bleak indeed.
