THE 5-FOLD MINISTRY GIFTS? / Pastor Bob's Coffee Break

Dear Pastor Bob: It seems there is a trend going around with many Christians being obsessed with certain spiritual gifts. Especially the five-fold ministry gifts of the Spirit. I understand these gifts are important for the edification of the body of Christ, but I am curious as to why so much emphasis is placed on these gifts? Is this a healthy practice? It seems like other spiritual gifts are being neglected as a result. How should we handle this?

Prophecy are the eyes of the body of Christ.
Service are the hands of the body of Christ.
Teaching are the mind of the body of Christ.
Giving are the arms of the body of Christ.
Exhortation are the mouth of the body of Christ.
Administration are the head of the body of Christ.
Mercy are the heart of the body of Christ.
