Red River Gorge - Early winter Backpacking in Daniel Boone NF

In mid December we make another trip to RRG to explore Hanson's Point and do some Arch Hunting while getting some drone flights in along the way.

Along with me on this trip is my brother Joel and his girlfriend, Jodie. Our first stop is Hanson's Point, and from there we do some off trail bushwacking down to the Ledford Arches discovering a small cave along the way.

Day two we travel to Auxier Ridge to try and summit Courthouse Rock, then get up close and personal to Double Arch.

Finally, we search for and find Stargap Arch and then enjoy a beautiful sunset before heading home.

What was intended to be a two night three day trip, was shortened by a day due to twisting my knee on one of the off trail hills and fighting a minor case of planter fasciitis.
