My Favorite Trail Collaboration \ North Manitou Island - Pure Michigan with UGQ and Dan Becker

There are so many amazing trails out there to be explored! One of my favorites has to be on the 15,000 acre North Manitou Island, part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Michigan, that I visited with UGQ Outdoor and Dan Becker back in the summer of 2019.

North Manitou Island is located approximately 12 miles west-northwest of Leland, Michigan and is a wilderness floating in the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan. Visitors enjoy hiking along the dunes, playing in turquoise waves, enjoying the island flora and fauna, exploring the village and ghost towns, seeking out inland lakes, and learning the islands history.

It is nearly eight miles long and over four miles wide, with 20 miles of shoreline. Camping on North Manitou Island offers solitude and a wild beauty and nights listening to lapping waves. Visiting the majestic and beautiful North Manitou Island is and adventure that you will always remember!
