I Cheated on my Favorite Shoe Brand! \ Is this the BEST Backpacking and Trail Running Shoe for 2022?

After five years, 8 pairs and 3,500 miles with Altra shoes I finally decided to give a new brand a try. Topo Athletic Ultraventure 2 trail runners will be my go-to shoe for early 2022 for all of my hiking, backpacking and trail running.

Altra shoes have been good to me, starting with the Lone Peak 3’s, 4’s, two pairs of Timp 1.5’s, Lone Peak 4.5’s and then finally three pairs of Olympus 4’s. I still love the Olympus 4’s and will pick up another pair if this new brand ends up not working out for me after a few hundred miles.
