Create a compost pile: Choose a spot in your garden where you want to create the compost pile. Start with a layer of chopped banana and onion peels, followed by a layer of other organic materials. Repeat the layering until you have created a pile that is at least 3 feet high.

Add water: Water the pile thoroughly to ensure that the materials are moist, but not too wet.

Turn the pile: After a few days, use a garden fork to turn the pile, moving the materials from the bottom to the top. This will ensure that the materials are evenly distributed and that they decompose evenly.

Monitor the compost: Over the next few weeks, continue to turn the pile every few days. Monitor the temperature, which should be between 120 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit. If the pile becomes too hot, add more water to cool it down.

Harvest the compost: After several weeks, the compost will be ready to use as a natural fertilizer. It should be dark and crumbly, with no signs of the original materials. Spread it around your plants and garden beds to improve soil quality and provide nutrients for healthy plant growth.
