Maximus Kills Commodus Gladiator Speed Action

In an attempt to assassinate Maximus (Russell Crowe) himself, Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) challenges him to a duel, but Maximus proves to be simply more skilled than Commodus in combat.

2000's Gladiator Maximus, one of Emperor Marcus Aurelius's favourite generals, is demoted by Commodus after he assumes control of the government. Maximus is forced to become a gladiator and battle till he perishes as a result.
