SUGAR GLIDERS Flying

The small marsupial known as a sugar glider is renowned for its gliding abilities. The skin flaps connecting their front and back legs help them glide from tree to tree in search of food or escape potential predators. The glider's buoyancy, lightweight, and aerodynamic shape contribute to its ability to fly.

Sugar gliders are nocturnal animals found in the forests of Australia and Indonesia. Because of their nocturnal lifestyle, they are rarely seen during the day. They spend the day dozing off in tree hollow nests they've constructed.

Sugar gliders can glide for up to 50 metres, which is quite far, considering they can't stay airborne for long. When in flight, they can direct themselves with their tails, and when landing, they can grab onto tree bark or branches with their sharp claws.
Due to their endearing personality and playful nature, sugar gliders have become popular pets.
