God deserved honor but the people despised Him by offering sacrifices that were lame, sick, or stolen. Would a governor, father, or master accept such gifts favorably? Instead of obtaining God’s blessing, such gifts brought God’s curse. What lessons should we learn about our worship to God? Do we believe that how we worship does not matter or do we give God our best?
