Beware of False Spring When Planting Out Crops

A false spring is where it is warm, then cold. If you plant too early, a "false spring" can kill your garden plants.

The climate is constantly changing. In early spring, you'll have a last frost. Agricultural extensions will try to predict that later frost date.

Don't be frustrated by a cold snap in early spring. Use incremental planting, heavy mulch, and frost cloths when possible.

It's not climate change; it's the reality of gardening. Want insights into growing large organic gardens and food forests? Join us at https://www.prosperityhomestead.org/newsletter/?utm_source=005-o0227b&utm_medium=youtube.com&utm_campaign=o0227b&utm_content=beware-false-spring-when-planting
