French toast is a classic breakfast dish that is loved by many. It's a simple yet delicious dish that can be made in various ways. Here's a recipe for crispy and fluffy French toast that will leave you craving for more:

Ingredients:

4 slices of bread (preferably slightly stale)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Maple syrup and/or powdered sugar, for serving
Instructions:

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly.

Place the bread slices onto the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Once cooked, remove the French toast from the skillet and repeat with the remaining bread slices, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.

Serve the French toast warm with maple syrup and/or powdered sugar, as desired.

Tips:

For extra-fluffy French toast, use thick slices of bread.
To make the French toast even crispier, add a pinch of cornstarch to the egg mixture.
For a richer flavor, use whole milk instead of skim or low-fat milk.
You can also add other toppings such as fresh berries, whipped cream, or sliced bananas to your French toast.
