On May 5, 2023, Yevgeny Prigozhin made an extremely tough statement: the Wagner PMC intends to hand over Bakhmut and its environs to the forces of the Ministry of Defense and leave the NMD zone due to lack of ammunition. True, he gave a hint: having licked their wounds, Wagner may return. In any case, their absence threatens with very unpleasant consequences, because assault infantry is a valuable and, alas, scarce resource for us in urban battles.
