Charles III crowned as Britain’s King - May 6, 2023

The coronation ceremony for King Charles III took place on May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London when King Charles III was officially crowned as monarch and Camilla as Queen by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
After waiting nearly 74 years to become king, the coronation of Charles III is here. The ceremony comes nearly eight months after the death of the country’s longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
