“Sanctification by Addition” 
6th in our series the Epistle of 2nd Peter

Subtraction from God’s Perfect Will  - Romans 3:10-18
* Violating God’s Law subtracts from our Life what God intended
* Disobedience subtracts godliness from our life
* Rebellion against God’s Word subtracts righteousness
* Rejecting God’s Law subtracts justice from our lives
* The rebellion against the Creator in thought, word and deed brings devastating consequences individually and for society

How can we undo the consequences of sins destructive work in us? Not by Subtraction but by Addition - 2 Peter 1:3-5
* For what reason?
* That God’s divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness in His Holy Word
* That through faith in Christ we become partakers of the divine nature
* All diligence - addition must be top drawer priority
* Addition is not for justification but for sanctification 
* By faith we are saved, not by works - Ephesians 2:8-9
* What is faith? - Hebrews 11:1
* We cannot please God without faith - Hebrews 11:6
* The addition of Virtue in our life
* The virtue of Christ manifest in our life
* The mind of Christ - Philippians 4:8-9
* The Addition of Knowledge in our life
* What we know is limited, and what all humankind knows is not the complete corpus of knowledge
* God alone is omniscient - 1 John 3:20
* We add knowledge when only when it is truth that we are adding
* Absolute truth is found only in the Word of God
