The National Atomic Testing Museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The National Atomic Testing Museum documents Atomic testing at the Nevada Test Site in the Mojave Desert, 65 miles "105 km" northwest of Las Vegas. The museum opened in March of 2005 and on December 31, 2011 than President Barack Obama signed a military spending bill that designating the museum a national museum affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution.

In this Museum you'll find so much of the American Atomic era from Military to pop culture. As soon as you enter the building you will see a Lifesize model of the atomic bomb know as "Fat Man" this is the bomb dropped on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. This bomb "Fat Man" along with atomic bomb "Little Boy" Japan, on August 6, 1945 was credited with ending the war, World War II that is or WW2 for short.
