Canada: ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan speaks with reporters in Ottawa – May 5, 2023

Karim Khan, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), holds a news conference on Parliament Hill during his first official visit to Canada. Khan delivered a lecture the previous evening on global justice under the Rome Statute, at an event hosted by the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights and the University of Ottawa. He is joined at the news conference by university president Allan Rock. The ICC recently issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin in relation to his country's invasion of Ukraine.
