Nearly two million NYC residents lost a loved one to Covid-19, city officials report

A new survey released by New York City’s Center for Research on Housing Opportunity, Mobility, and Equity on Friday found about one in four New Yorkers lost a loved one to Covid-19 during the first 16 months of the pandemic. The survey also found that one in ten New Yorkers lost at least three people close to them from the virus.
