Let's go over the top 5 beginner mistakes, and discuss why your strings might be break

Reason 1: Putting random projectiles into the Cross Bow.
This might seem like a silly thing to mention, however, it is important to mention. Curiosity killed the cat. For your safety please do not shove random projectiles into the crossbow.

Reason 2: Bolts aren't fully inserted.
Not placing the bolts in all the way will cause a dry fire effect. Make sure to double-check that the bolts are in all the way before shooting.

Reason 3: Neglecting Proper Maintenance
It is important to remember to wax and maintain your strings. The more often you wax your string the longer you prolong the life of the string. For maximum life expectancy wax every 15-25 shots

Reason 4: Dry firing Bow
Dry firing will cause damage to not only the string but also the crossbow's skeleton. Drying firing will cause the limb, cams, and string to snap. Never shoot the crossbow without a bolt!
