Is the U.S. on the BRINK of default??

Hi! The U.S. is yet again closing in on the X-Date, when the government can no longer pay its bills. There's a lot of noise, but getting close to default is nothing new. Usually the debt limit is raised without much fanfair, but when squabbles occur (like now) people start biting their nails when politicians start playing chicken with debt ceiling. In this video, I go over some history of the U.S. and the debt limit, how the Bipartisan Policy Center estimates the X-Date, S&P downgrading the U.S., and more!
