This is the first event of the 145th annual ranch rodeo in Clarendon. Bronc riding has always been popular since the very beginnings of rodeos when ranches would compete against each other for friendly competition. #COEA #Rodeo #BroncRiding #ClarendonTx #RanchRodeo

The Clarendon Outdoor Entertainment Association (COEA) opened Independence Day festivities with a July Fourth Junior Ranch Rodeo. Five-member teams representing ten working ranches in the region demonstrate their working ranch skills.

The Saint's Roost Independence Day Celebration has been held in Clarendon, Texas for 143 years. There are three rodeos during the celebration with kids riding sheep, also known as mutton bustin'.
