The result of forced conscription in Ukraine

"Volunteers", hunted down and beaten by recruitment personel in the cities of Ukraine are given a 7 day course and sent to the front. None of them wants to fight and those who are not killed in the first couple of hours, panic and flee. So why is Ukraine doing this to their own people?
