Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh (born 13th July 2002, age: 21 years) is the Guinness World Record holder for the shortest man in the world. He is from Iran. Afshin is twice the height of regular basketball and he is only 65.24 cm tall which is 2 feet and 1.6 inches.

He was not famous earlier as the shortest man alive. But on 14th December 2022 Editor in Chief at Guinness World Records announced the name of Afshin as the world shortest man breaking every previous record of the shortest man. Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh’s height was measured at the Head Office of Guinness World Records situated in Dubai. After measurements, it was found that he is only 2 feet and 1.6 inches tall.

Biography (Early Life & Education)
Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh is from Bukan City of West Azerbaijan province, Iran. He is famous in his village with his name as Mohamad. Afshin’s age is 21 years (as of 2023) as he was born on the 13th of July 2002. In his interview, Afshin revealed that due to physical weakness, he remained unable to complete his school education. He stop attending school after he faced physical weakness. His life has not been easy since he dropped school.
He Is now getting treatment for his physical weakness along with struggling with literacy. A few months ago Afshin Esmaeil Ghaderzadeh learned to write his own name. He does not have any mental problems but has only physical issues due to which he remained illiterate.
Just thinking about being part of the Guinness World Records family is like a dream. I struggle to believe it sometimes. It is like you wake up the next day and the entire world now knows who you are. That’s magical,” said Afshin.
