Proud Boys’ Tarrio guilty of Jan. 6 seditious conspiracy

Enrique Tarrio, a former leader of the Proud Boys, along with three other members of the far-right extremist group, were found guilty on Thursday of planning an attack on the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to keep Donald Trump in power following his loss in the 2020 presidential election.

The verdict was delivered by a Washington, D.C. jury after a three-month trial that featured testimony from numerous witnesses, the Associated Press has reported.

This case is among the most significant to arise from the shocking events of January 6, 2021, which were broadcasted live around the world.
