Despite her vocal support for aggressive climate policies, Pelosi has been chartering with Advanced Aviation, a company that offers ultra long-range jets with amenities like flight attendants and sophisticated finishes. During the 2022 election cycle, her campaign paid $349,563 for charter aircraft. Pelosi has been a proponent of reducing carbon emissions and phasing out fossil fuels, but private jet travel is by far the most carbon-intensive mode of transportation, emitting 10 times more carbon than commercial planes and 50 times more carbon than trains. Other Democrat committees have also spent big on private jet travel, including the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
