North Carolina Senate passes 12-week abortion ban

The North Carolina Senate passed a bill Thursday that would ban abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy. Though Governor Roy Cooper has vowed to veto the legislation, the GOP supermajority in the legislature could override his efforts.
