On the evening of April 29, the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame opened its doors for the 2023 season. An evening billed as The Season Premiere culminated with the announcement of the individuals and groups taking their place in the prestigious Hall of Honorees. NDCHF Board President Gerald Stokka made the announcement. World Champion Team Roper Bobby Harris also attended and spoke to those there that evening. Along with the announcement of the inductees, we also feature the conclusion of Bobby Harris's message to the crowd there that evening.

Bailey Grove, a high school senior from Ray, ND, also introduced us to the Jr. High and High School state champions honored during the event. Dakota Cowboy co-host Tisa Peek of Dakota Horse Magazine visited with Bailey, who spoke highly of The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame and their involvement and support of state rodeo athletes.

Phil Haugen was born and raised in the Williston, ND, area. There are many highlights to his very successful rodeo career, which all led him to be inducted into the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2021. Phillip Haugen is the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame Hall of Honorees Inductee of the Week.
