My ALL TIME Favorite Star Wars Movies for #StarWarsDay

Today is May the 4th, the unofficial-official Star Wars holiday. As such, people will be telling you "May the Force Be with You", to which the proper response is always either "And Also with You" or "Live Long and Prosper". That bit of trolling aside, I thought I'd put together my three favorite Star Wars movies of all time. Let's take a look.

Number 3
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
It's ironic that the third movie in the series is also my third favorite Star Wars movie. Yes, it still suffers from poor prequel dialogue, but I will put the opening battle of Coruscant against any other opening in any Star Wars movie. The shots are just amazing, yes I know they are CGI but they still hold up 18 years later. We also get to see the eventual and expected turn of Anakin to the dark side, and an epic lightsaber battle at the end, this movie is severely underrated in my opinion.

Number 2
Episode IV: The empire strikes back
I know this would be controversial being my second favorite Star Wars movie and not my favorite, but I still love it. The opening battle of Hoth with the Snow Speeders was fantastic, and seeing Luke train with Yoda was really remarkable for the day. Sure, we didn't get as much space action, which is one of the reasons why I don't love it as much as some other people do. I love the dog fights, and this really doesn't have that. But we also have the greatest reveal in movie history where Darth Vader pronounces that he is Luke's father.

Movie trivia fact: Darth Vader never says "Luke, I am your Father". He says "No! I am your father".

Number 1
Episode VI: RETURN OF THE JEDI
That's right people, my favorite Star Wars movie is the one with the teddy bears! I loved Return of the Jedi. It could be this was the first of the original trilogy that I have vivid memories of seeing in a movie theater. It could be the epic showdown between Luke and Darth Vader. It could be that we got to see the Emperor in his full evilness for the first time. It could be the battle over Endor to destroy the second Death Star. It could be all of it. Yes, I even loved Yub Nub. For someone who loved space dog fights, this was amazing for me. I loved seeing the X-Wings and Y-Wings return, and the addition of the A-Wings and B-Wings. Plus on the imperial side, you had things like the TIE interceptor that made its debut. This was an absolutely beautiful movie and I love everything about it.

What is your favorite Star Wars movie? What do you think of my pics? Let me know in the comments.
