E foi nele, que em 2001, tivemos o primeiro jogo do Sonic para um Nintendo: Sonic Advance. Sonic Advance é um jogo em 2D, com o visual dos personagens no estilo Sonic Adventure, resultando num dos jogos preferidos para o portátil da Nintendo.
