The Raw Deal (3 May 2023) with Ron Avery. The Biden admin has growing concern that, if the planned Ukrainian counteroffensive falls short--and it is destined to "fall short", with no doubt--then it will come in for criticism by both hawks and doves, where "hawks" will complain that it would have succeeded if only Biden had given more fighter jets, more artillery, and such, while doves wil object that it's long past time for settling with Russia. Steve Bannon speculates that RFK Jr. would make a sensational running mate with Trump in 2024, where I have been predicting that he will be running with Tulsi. Bobby Jr. has some baggage: bad on 2nd A and supports the war in Ukraine; but he is the only alternative that I could imagine Trump might prefer to Tulsi. Meanwhile, in NYC, a completely ludicrous rape trial is taking place, where the accuse, E. Jean Carroll, appears to be suffering from rape fantasties right and left. The question is how in the world this case was allowed to go to court. No reasonable DA would have permitted that to happen, which reflects the fact that the NYC DA is an anti-Trump zealot, who could care less about evidence and the law. This case is a farce. Ron Avery joined me today to discuss a recent story in The New York Times Magazine, in which the author (who is a creative writer) suggests that the public should not be allowed to see crime scene photos--such as those from Sandy Hook--because they are so gruesome. But when a case is as controversial as that one (and there's a mountain of proof that it was a hoax and that no mass murder actually occurred. This piece comes across as a feelbe apology for anyone who does not take the "official narrative" as true (regardless of evidence to the contrary). Ron has a lot to say about (what he calls) "disarmament terrorism". Most enlightening and enjoyable!
