Police Pursuit Ends in Dramatic Arrest: Suspect Jumps from 2nd Floor and is Apprehended by K9

About 12:30 A.M. Wednesday, the Sacramento Police Department received a call from a person who’s vehicle had been stolen.

According to radio reports, officers located the occupied vehicle and a pursuit ensued through the south portion of the Landpark community of Sacramento, near Riverside and Broadway.

Eventually, the suspects ran from the vehicle, fleeing into the community, and jumping fences from backyard to backyard.

The assisting California Highway Patrol aircraft spotted a heat source via infrared and guided ground officers to the heat source.

According to reports, the suspect was on a second floor balcony when he jumped to the ground and was met by a police K9. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

The suspect was transported to the hospital via paramedic ambulance, to be treated from his fall and K9 bite injuries.
