Do you know that Russia traded an entire naval fleet for Pepsi?

When their economy took a hard turn in the late 80s, Pepsi CEO Donald M. Kendall struck a deal of a lifetime and traded billions in soda for 17 submarines, a frigate, a cruiser, and a destroyer.

After the deal was completed Pepsi became the sixth largest naval fleet in the world, but they would go on to sell the fleet for scrap metal to make their profits.

While countries were trying to dismantle the Soviet Union with force, Donald decided to fight with his business acumen and won.
