Well, some have called it the Wisconsin Werewolf, which is a fitting moniker for The Beast of Bray Road. The Beast of Bray Road is a local cryptid, much like the Mothman or the Jersey Devil.

A night watchman saw the Beast of Bray Road for the first time in 1936 and reported seeing it. Although its howl frightened him, neither he nor any property was in danger.

People reported enough sightings in the 1980s for the media to pay attention. The beast was huge (about 6 feet tall) and clothed in fur, although not all witnesses concur on the other details.

The Beast of Bray Road has been the subject of several novels, documentaries, and a horror film simply titled "The Beast of Bray Road."
