Hazrat Khizr (A.S) is a figure in Islamic tradition, he is considered a prophet, a saint, and a wali by some Muslim scholars. He is also known as al-Khidr or al-Khizar, and is mentioned in the Quran. According to Islamic tradition, he is a mysterious figure who possess great knowledge and wisdom, and is able to perform miracles. He is said to have met with Prophet Musa (A.S) and taught him some of his wisdom. He is also associated with the story of the "Fountain of Life" and is said to still be alive and able to give guidance to those who seek it. He is considered as one of the most mysterious figures in Islamic history and is held in high regard by many Muslims.

Hazrat Khizar a.s is a figure described but not mentioned by name in the Quran as a righteous servant of God possessing great wisdom or mystic knowledge. In various Islamic and non-Islamic traditions, Khidr is described as a messenger, prophet or wali, who guards the sea, teaches secret knowledge and aids those in distress.[6] He prominently figures as patron of the Islamic saint ibn Arabi.The figure of al-Khidr has been syncretized over time with various other figures. Al-Khiḍr is also commonly associated with Elijah, even equated with him, and al-Tabari makes a distinction in the next account in which al-Khiḍr is Persian and Elijah is an Israelite. According to this version of al-Khiḍr's story, al-Khiḍr and Elijah meet every year during the annual festival season. The father of Khizr a.s was a king and he was the kings only son but Khizr a.s was always whole heartedly engaged in the worship of almighty God in a closed room. His king father was always fearful that his generation will come to an end. He became the chief of the caravan of Zulqarnain while they started the journey to search the WATER OF LIFE (Aab e hayat) but Zulqarnain did not recognized that water where as Khizr a.s in the darkness (Zulamaat) of life found that water of life and drank it and he will be alive till the day of judgement.
