7:15 PM Public Forum – “Temple’s Master Plan”
What is the Master Plan?
The Master Plan is a document that serves as a guide for the Planning Board and town to make
decisions around future development of the community. The Planning Board uses the Master
Plan as a reference when a development proposal comes before it to determine whether it is
consistent with the Master Plan.
Why is the Master Plan Being Updated?
Revisions to the plan are recommended every 5 to 10 years and some sections haven’t been
updated since 2003.
Why Should You Attend?
The Master Plan represents the wishes of the residents of Temple regarding the present and
future vision of the town for the next 5-10 years. In this session, we will provide an overview of
the current Master Plan with a focus on Population, Housing, and Land Use.
The Town of Temple Planning Board is reviewing and updating some sections of the Master
Plan this year. We are looking for input on the following:
● Future Land Use (2003)
● Economic Development (2019)
● Vision Statement (2018)
