Nettle tree a species of Trema

The nettle tree (Trema tomentosa) is named for its nettle-like leaves that, fortunately, don't sting. Nettle tree isn't farmed, but has historically been harvested in the wild for its timber and fibrous branches. Birds feed on its dark, berry-like fruit.
