Cartels to funnel hundreds of thousands of illegals hunkered down in Mexican cities along the border waiting to cross into the United States under false pretenses ahead of the end of Title 42 on May 11. Over the past week, Border Patrol agents apprehended 51,560 aliens who illegally crossed the border between the land ports of entry.

Approximately 10,000 people crossed into the El Paso region over the past week. At the other end of Texas on the Gulf Coast, the Rio Grande Valley city of Brownsville had 7,000 people cross and surrender to Border Patrol in the same time frame.
