The word "imminent" means something is about to happen soon or could happen at any time.
Paul and Jesus both said Jesus could come back at any time and that his second coming was coming soon.
Throughout the New Testament, the theme is always the same: Jesus is coming back soon.
James said that the Lord's return is close.
Peter said that the end of everything is coming soon and that the Lord will keep His word.
John said that we should be ready for the Lord's return.
The book of Revelation warns several times that the Lord is coming back soon.
The Greek word "tachu" means quickly, rapidly, and without delay, emphasises the near nature of Jesus' return.
The thought that Jesus could come back at any time isn't based on just one or two texts; it's taught all over the New Testament.
To reject imminence, is to reject the Bible's infallibility, inspiration, authority, and plain meaning.
The Bible is the unchangeable Word of God, and every word is true because the Holy Spirit guided those who wrote it.
