There's the QUAD, AUKUS, submarines that were going to be french and are now going to be nuclear via a joint venture with the UK and US... and then we have to ask ourselves the question of whether partnering with the super-power who dragged us into the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, and is now getting more and more involved in Ukraine, is really the ally we want.
