Rush - YYZ (Ultimate Tribute Cover)

I made this Ultimate Tribute Cover in homage to one, if not the, greatest and most influential drummers of all time. Not only is his departure from this world a huge blow to the drumming community but also the music community as a whole. Neil Peart's impact and contribution to what a phenomenal drummer is is unparalleled.

As many hard working and driven young drummers, I had aspirations of being one of the best drummers in the world when I was coming up as young drummer. I always believed if I ever wanted to be considered in that conversation, I had to follow in his giant steps. He was the drummer that I practiced several hours a day. He was the biggest influence in my journey and set the bar of what an amazing, technical, and most importantly, "musical" drummer was (not to mention intriguing lyricist). Through his amazing career and work he pushed so many drummers to heights may otherwise not have been seen without him. This man changed drumming and music forever. He made the impossible look easy - a True Master.
